Pocket friendly Thai food, beloved in London
From the man who brought us Hakkasan and Wagamama, Busaba Eathai is a pocket friendly, casual Thai restaurant specialising in one course meals, served with only a smile – none of the fuss. Its location at The Beach is Busaba Eathai’s first foray outside the UK, where it enjoys an almost cult like following, thanks to its flavoursome range of salads, stir fries and curries, complemented by delicious Thai-infused drinks.
The restaurant takes its name from the Busaba, the pretty pink and white Thai flowers, and an amalgamation of ‘eat’ and ‘Thai’, a reference to their easygoing nature, a perfect fit for The Beach.
While the breathtaking view of the Arabian Gulf might distract you for a while, once the food arrives, there’s no question about who is the star. Knowledgeable staff are at hand to guide you through the dishes on offer, from crowd favourite Thai Calamari to the Mussaman Duck Curry made with a mouthwatering 22 spices.
Just don’t be tempted to pocket the restaurant’s iconic, gunmetal finished cutlery, designed and produced especially for the restaurant. Apparently, the cutlery is the most stolen item at Busaba Eathai’s London branch!
So if you’re in the mood for some Thai food, refreshing Thai mocktails in a very modern eatery that doesn’t compromise on flavour, Busaba Eathai is for you.
